Description: The foundation stone of the Beit Hamikdash is the point of emanation of the entire universe. It is the pathway through which blessing flows from the upper to the lower worlds. In this image, the holy letters of the Aleph Beit ascend to the heavens from atop the Mizbaiach (altar) of the Temple. The feotal images refer to the site of the Temple as being the ‘spiritual womb’ of the universe, through which all else is sustained and nourished.
