Description: This great centre of Torah learning was founded in 1815 in Mir, Poland, where it remained until 1914. With the outbreak of World War I, it was moved to the Ukraine and later on to Kobe, Japan and Shanghai, China. After World War II, the yeshiva was re-established with two campuses in Jerusalem, Israel and Brooklyn, New York.
