In it are included the seven species of the Land of Israel; figs, pomegranates, grapes, wheat, barley, dates and olives. The bridal couple represents the ‘marriage’ of G-d and the Jewish People which occurred at the giving of the Torah on Mount Sinai. The river, described in Gan Eden, flows from the heavenly to the earthly realm below. The letters of the Aleph Beit, with which G-d created the world and which continue to sustain it, merge with the roots of the Tree of Life, representing the Holy Torah.
