Description: The tree is a symbol of the Torah, the “Eitz Chaim”, “a tree of life to those who grasp it.” This painting is a reference to the hidden depths of the Zohar and Kabbalah. Our sages describe the Zohar as “Pardes” an “orchard” of hidden beauty, mystery and truth through which only the most exalted of minds may wander. Candles lead the eye inward, revealing the infinite depth and illumination of mystical understanding.
